i'm having a case of the monday nights. oh, you don't know what they are? let me help you understand. sitting on the couch, kind of bored, kind of too lazy to do anything, watching a tv show, just feeling a bit blahdiddyda. that's the monday nights. luckily, i have a super fab monday night tv show playlist (i am really popular guys and lead a super exciting life, truly). ha
today consisted of running some errands, updating, and hoping. oh yes, and two cups of coffee, some froyo, and lots of blog reading. oh and i made this mini-playlist. some songs are old, some are new but i love em all.
this past week flew by. between hanging out, watching too much tv, interviewing for a new job, trying to fix my internet...i took some photos. it's a bit of a photo overload, i'll admit.
i had froyo twice this week. no shame.

you know that scene in bridesmaids, where they are hiding behind some trees spying on the bootcamp class and the instructor sees them? yep, exactly what we were doing. proceeded to hide behind a dumpster but of course the instructor saw us. hehe no shame, once again : )

television is the devil. well not really, but today it is. it’s taking over my thoughts. hell, it even enters my dream state and
completely throws my world upside down inevitably leaving room for a very
disappointing wake-up alarm in the morning, back to my normal life.
ok, ok, the real reason for my post today. i had a very
involved, crazy-real dream last night, completely settled around….yep….tim riggins. if you know my obsession with friday night lights, then you know that i have a deep profound love for tim riggins and sometimes wish he was a real
person in real life (not taylor kitsch, the actor). yes, i know i’m crazy. if he were a real person in real life, i would probably move to texas and stalk him until he decided to take me for a
ride in his truck, where ever he wanted to go (not that i don’t want to move to texas anyway after watching FNL).
in my dream, tim and i were madly in love with each other (obviously) or
so I remember/want to remember but there was another girl involved and so
started this lovesick triangle. i can’t remember the details but he was
gorgeous, i was close to him, he professed his love for me, and that’s all that
really matters to me.
so i have decided that i’m just going to move to a small town in texas and start a new life….just kidding. but it would be nice.
waking up this morning, was a total disappointment, to say
the least…and the rain didn’t help any.

totally short and sweet weekend. didn't really have any fantastic plans but had good times with good people. how was your weekend?
thursday night i went to one of my little cousin's school play, Aladdin. it was super cute and a fun time. i totally forgot how much i love disney movies. i think i need a trip to disney world, whose in?! afterwards all of the kids dug into some ice cream cones. love these little people. always put a smile on my face.
saturday i broke out the big guns...i mean..glasses. did some summer shopping with momma and my brother. picked up some cute summer clothes. like the patterns (below)? i had too much fun and can't wait for summer and vacation to florida in two weeks : ) : )
lola and i watched some movies as well, this weekend. she fell asleep on me again. can never count on this one to last through a movie ; )
sunday, my flyers won! woo! watched the game with the fam, ate a lot of food, played with the kiddies. we made some fringe t-shirts out of some old shirts they had (below). making use of the t-shirts...total earth day exercise. it was fun and i made a flyers fringe tee, yeeea!
it was a perfect, simple weekend.
and now on to this week. have an interview coming up, yikes!
mondays are notoriously dreaded by most because it's the start of the work week and it means waking up early the day after sunday, which is never ever fun. i completely agree with this and hate most mondays as well but monday nights are totally different. i love, love, love monday nights. monday nights to me = sitting on my couch with some sort of snack in hand and some really good hot tea and watching all of my shows.
it just so happens that most of my favorite tv shows decided to air on monday nights around the same time (which kinda stinks but thank goodness for dvr). i have perfected my monday night television strategy (yep, I have a strategy). I watch one of my shows at its correct time, dvr the other ones, and then stay up watching all of them and eating through all of them. it's actually a lot of fun in a small-town-i have-no-life kind of way.
so my current favorite monday night shows are and yes they are all girly/cheesy and that's totally ok with me ; )
do you have movies you watch over and over...and...over again? if i can't sleep at night, i pop in one of the same 10 movies that i rotate constantly. if i'm sick on the couch, i do the same thing. i have a top 9 movie group that are my favorite movies everrrr (emphasis on the ever). yep, just 9 because i couldn't choose just one more to be the 10th, hehe. they may not be extremely deep or interesting films. well actually, none of them are. most of them are chick flick funny. you know, the perfect combination of cute and funny and weird. those are my kind of movies.
so here is my list of go-to movies. whether i am sad, can't sleep, sick, happy...i have a movie for it all.
a lot like love.
i can't really explain why i love this movie so much and why i can watch it over and over again. it's one of those movies that makes you want to meet a weird, quirky guy in the airport and create a bond that spans over years, ultimately leading to you both confessing your love for each other that you have been hiding for so long, or something like that. perfect boy and girl meet in a super fun sort of way. boy and girl go their separate ways. boy and girl meet up throughout the years and go through different relationships but come back to each other in the end. so perfect and this movie is the reason i fell in love with ashton kutcher. oh, and awesome soundtrack! watch it!
and one of my fav parts in the movie (below). who doesn't like a car jam sesh, right?

breakfast at tiffany's.
the only reason i first chose to watch this movie was not because i was some huge classics buff and appreciated old-er films. i just really really love audrey hepburn. it took me awhile before i could actually get through the entire movie without stopping at some point (shame on me). now, if i can't fall asleep i put this movie on. i love holly golightly and her mysterious, nomadic ways. totally made me love this movie and all the great quotes you get from it. ps: fav part is audrey strumming along and singing to moon river in her windowsill. made me love that song.

i love this movie for three reasons.
1. mandy moore and the fact that she runs her own catering business. so want to be her in this movie.
2. the guy in the movie. his suave, artsy, musician character and his tattoo on his hand. seexxxxay. i love him.
3. the polka dot dresses.
it's a total watch with your mom on a friday night while making brownies, kinda movie.

in college, i used to put this movie on every night with my roommate and we would just watch it, cry about our love lives (sometimes ; )) and totally fall in love with an older man (dermot mulroney). i have this thing for dermot mulroney and i don't think many girls can deny it (come on you know you like him too). anyway, this movie is the perfect chick flick. it's short and sweet, funny, and sad at some points but it has a happy ending (duh). plus, who wouldn't like a male escort falling in love type of movie? haha
hocus pocus.
gahhhhhh! if you know me at all, you know how much i love love love halloween. it's my favorite holiday. i love costumes. i love scary things (except movies, you don't catch me at a scary movie). i love halloween parties, pumpkin carving, hay rides, haunted houses...i can go on forever. anyway, i watched this movie as a little kid and die (not literally) every year when it's on tv around halloween. i actually record it and watch it over and over again, the entire month of october (yes, issues).
it is the perfect halloween movie and pretty creepy for kids ( i don't know how i watched it when i was a youngin'). bette midler is the best wicked witch. love it!
sidney white.
amanda bynes. that is all. modern take on snow white. hilarious and kind of stupid/weird but i don't care. if i'm in a bad mood, i put this movie on and it instantly cheers me up. i wish i lived in the vortex in college. watch it, you'll know what i mean : )
mystic pizza.
i'm cracking up at my embarrassment for posting this movie but oh well. classic julia roberts movie that i honestly just found a few years ago and fell in love. it's old and weird, to put it simply but i get hooked. i think it's the quiet beach town, julia roberts gutsy character, and her weird sister's relationship with the professor/father. i know, i'm confusing you but just watch it. this movie made me want to find mystic pizza and have a slice.
serendipity.
ahhhhhhhh. i've watched this movie at least 20 times. i can probably recite the lines. it's terrible and pathetic actually but it is my favorite. serendipity is my favorite word. i had to go there after watching this movie. this movie made me fall in love with new york (but then i quickly lose that love once i get caught up in the hustle and bustle). although i am not a huge fan of john cusack (i know, i know)....i love him and kate beckinsale and their cute love story. this is definitely a movie you watch when you hate your love life because it is so disgustingly cute that you'll find some hope in yours, hehe : )
bridesmaids.
if you haven't seen this movie, you need to. the funniest group of women in a movie. i loved hang over but this movie is a close rival in humor. this one has been in my dvd player for the past two weeks. i literally just play it every night until i am ready to fall asleep. it's kind of sad. i sit there and just laugh to this movie by myself and can only hope my wedding will be just as hilarious minus helen because i can't with her.
it's soooo beautiful outside today. i'm about to go out for a run/walk and want to try to stay outside as much as possible. i think fridays are becoming one of my favorite days. hopefully it will become even more a favorite day if the flyers win tonight, woo.
before i get outta here and start spending the rest of the day outside, i wanted to show ya'll some fun stuff i've been looking at this week/reading/laughing at/crying/obsessing over. you get the drift. some cool stuff, for some cool people.
this movie. the lucky one. i read the book last year and now can't wait to see the movie. guilty pleasure: nicholas sparks books. i can't get enough of them. the only thing that kinda peeves me about this movie, besides the fact that zac efron is all grown up, is that the woman he falls for looks a whole bunch older than him. anyway, i will still be seeing this movie this weekend ; )
