instafriday!

polka dot nails and mint green chapstick. i loved the colors, how could i not take a picture? hehe

one of my favorite little kiddies. spent the day with him again. burgers and milkshakes. pretty sure he has more fun with me than anyone else ; )

in the picture above, his exact words: "i totally killed this cheeseburger." and then proceeded to pose with it. i couldn't resist laughing hysterically.

baked easter cookies with yiayia. will be posting the recipe and experience right after this post.

i buckled and bought stationery during one of my many trips to target this week. polka dot pencils and greeting cards with bicycles on them? really? so adorable. i had to have them.

happy happy friday : ) for most of us! i'm trying to be happy. as you can see above, i was at the doctor last night and this morning to figure out what is wrong with my throat and sinuses. yikes. finally am on an antibiotic and hoping this all goes away, so i can be back to normal by this weekend. trying not to throw myself into a 'pity sick party' because well, that sucks, and will only make me feel worse. so today, i am going to bake cupcakes for my little cousin's 6th birthday party tomorrow. phillies cupcakes to be exact, pretty neat huh? i definitely will be taking pictures of them to show ya'll : )

as for everyone else, i hope your fridays are awesome and sick-free!

i can't wait for the weekend and hopefully some cleared sinuses and my hearing back to normal, hehe

five obessions.

1. fun prints/quotes. i love them. i save them all. i'm like a teenager with posters of justin biebs all over her bedroom except i don't hang them up, because i don't want to ruin them. i just collect prints, in hopes of finding somewhere to put them one day.

2. peeta mellark. i have developed a severe obsession with peeta mellark. how could you not? i want him to be in real life. not josh hutcherson, but peeta, yep. before seeing the movie (hunger games), i was unsure of who they casted as peeta but after seeing it, i totally am in love. i googled him today and just read/watched youtubes/looked at pictures of him. if that isn't obsession, i don't know what is. love me some peeta and katniss. how awesome was that movie? not as awesome as the books, i know but pretty close! i can't wait for the second one.

3. chickfila. it's bad. i love it. i eat it at least once a week. their chargrilled and fruit salad is my favorite. hey, at least it's a salad right? hehe what are ya gonna do! this was me today, on my lazy day. i stopped at chikfila and of course i was super happy. i'm embarrassed just looking at myself ; ) my eyebrows look funny, don't they? hehe

4. target. this might be one of my biggest/worst/best obsessions ever. i love target so much, for, um, everything. i'm there at least twice a week. sometimes i just go to walk around, hoping i'll find something. if i'm in a bad mood, i go to target. as a matter of fact, i went today! who doesn't love target?

5. cupcakes, obvi! and this poster. how cute, right? anyway, i love cupcakes and baking them, finding new recipes, and finding any excuse to bake them for others. they are fun, happy, and so delicious despite the fact that they will make me extremely fat one day if i keep eating them. oh well : )

i have a bunch of obsessions. these are just some.

i love too many things, all the time. what can i say?

wishing i was somewhere warm : )

i wish i was on vacation right now, at this very moment, while i freeze writing this in my home because the temperature goes from sunny and 70 degrees to freezing, yikes. anyway, like i said, i wish i was on vacation but very soon. summer is right around the corner and so many vacations are coming up, i can't contain myself. i've already started planning what i want to bring (i know it's sad). this was a fun mash-up of items i would bring with me on vacation that i made on polyvore. if you don't know the site, you should check it out. it's so much fun if you're into fashion, art, interior decorating, and so forth!

currently.

i love this. found it on pinterest today :)

watching: the voice. i admit it. you already know this. i am a reality show/singing talent show junkie. i just got into the voice this season and i love it but i'm not a consistent watcher. i caught the final battles tonight and completely fell in love with the last two guys singing. ah, i almost cried. almost. and i also decided that christina's headpiece (what ever that thing was) was not necessary, at all. anyway, that's what i'm watching right now and it is causing me to keep pausing this blog post because i love these two guys singing. ah.
loving: adam levine. ha, just kidding, but i do love him. besides adam and his sweet sweater he's wearing tonight, i am loving the unpredictable days that lie ahead of us. it's a nice feeling right? i am loving that i don't know what tomorrow will be like but i can't wait for it at the same time. do you ever feel like that? maybe i'm getting too deep on ya'll but i love that i will be hitting my bed soon, waking up tomorrow to *hopefully a sunshine-y day and have so much to look forward to. that's something we all should love, don't you think? here's to tomorrow and it's un-predictable-ness, hehe!

obsessing over: ugh, eating healthier. i have been on a sugar/crappy food binge lately. we talked about this in one of my posts last week. so, i have been obsessing over trying to eat healthy and stay on track. what i found to be true is that when i obsess over something, i tend to end up failing at it. so i am not going to obsess but rather subtly change my ways. it takes time, right? hehe

working on: aside from my big side project which I talked to you about in a previous post, i have been working on putting away my winter clothes, yay! and bringing out my spring/summer clothes! this is my favorite time of year and i love bringing out all the bright colors that have been put away all winter long. i have been working on fitting everything into my closet, cleaning out the things i don't need, and somehow arranging everything into a seemingly nice, neat, organized manner. it isn't working too well. i'm starting to realize i have a severe shopping addiction and i really need to stop buying clothes, shoes, and everything else that goes along with those. working on my closet organization, as well as my shopping addiction lately. yep.
anticipating: summer. warm weather. sunshine. a tan! my trip to florida in may. girls week in florida with my bff, mom, aunt, and cousins. cannot wait! i just want to be on a beach, with my feet in the sand, getting a tan. and seeing one of my bestest friends, jess and her babies that i have missed so much! it will be an awesome trip and i'm so anticipating it.

listening to: commercials, yuck. i'm about to wash my face, brush my teeth, and climb into bed and hear nothing but sleep :)

i love the weekends, among other things.

i have a love/hate relationship with so many things. i hated today...this morning..but then loved it. i hate work when i'm driving there but then love it while i'm there, most of the time. i love and hate a lot of things but these few things i absolutely love, no questions asked....like the two sweet little things up top. they are some of my favorite people in this entire world. we had a super awesome dance party to "call me maybe" friday night with multiple failed attempts at making a music video of our superb skillz.

my little lola. even though she takes your spot once you get out of bed and does not budge for anything i still love her cuteness. she will cuddle with you all day long if you want her to.

little puppies! i was at the pet store twice this weekend. saturday my mom and i stopped in to just hold all the puppies and then sadly left without taking one home, although we were tempted. david and i stopped in again today before we went out to dinner and held a bunch of puppies and planned which ones we were going to take home, one day! look at this little baby above! if i could have taken her home right then, i would have!

baking cupcakes! made more cupcakes this weekend for dessert on saturday night. red velvet with cream cheese icing and milk chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting. yum.

sunday dinner! with david. grilled calamari and loads of pasta that we really didn't need but it was so delicious!

his attempts at braiding my hair. he's going to kill me for this one :)

my new nail art. what do ya think? i'm trying out the polka dots on the finger nails for the spring. i'm a little too excited for this!

and last but definitely not least, hunger games! i finally went and saw it today and loved it. they did a pretty good job adapting the book to a movie. i love katniss and peeta. i cried in the movie, ah so good! i'm a totally hunger games nerd that i even identified myself on this fun website to see what district you would belong to and guess whaaaa....katniss is my homegirl! district 12 suckas :)

and then of course i identified david...poor guy...

haha, what a fun weekend. so many things to love.

photo friday, the power of pink.

i used to hate the color pink. i never liked to wear it but recently it has started to grow on me for some reason and i'm really liking it. maybe it's all of the cute pink pictures i've found lately.

the straws are my favorite!

who wouldn't like pink after seeing these? ok, maybe some of you but oh well!

anyway, i have the day off today which means i am tackling the closet! bringing out the spring/summer clothes, putting away the bulky sweaters, and at some point, probably lying on the floor among all of my clothes, trying to figure out where i am going to put them all.
i need to stop shopping.

day with petey.

hi my name is pete. i love baseball, basketball, playing outside, and...cupcakes. i didn't have school today and had the whole day to spend with vickie. it was awesome!

petey and i spent the entire day together. he didn't have school and i didn't have work. it was a perfect set-up for a perfect day. we played outside in the almost 80 degree weather in march, whaaaa? (i know!). we had our own dance party in the kitchen, went to lunch with anthony, baked cupcakes, drew some super awesome pictures, played a huge game of kickball, and then decided vickie is the best cousin ever, duh.

i'll let petey tell ya the rest :)

we practiced our golfing skills in the not so green grass in the backyard.

we went to lunch with anthony aka uncle petunia and stocked up on some phillies gear. awesome hats but i hate smiling in photos ; )

we drew the rainbow fish. have you ever read the story? the rainbow fish gives all of his silver scales away to his new friends, except for one. aren't they cute?

we made huge huge cupcakes!

they were so so so good. can you tell?

then we practiced our dance moves in the kitchen. here's my pose for the camera :)
